So I don't really know the correct terminology for things like this but I was recently hanging out with my friend Matt and he invited DeShawn over, I'd met DeShawn like a year ago in high school and he was chill and all but didn't seem like the type to smoke but he pulled out a vape while we were hanging out and just started puffing on it or whatever and I'd been thinking of getting a regular one to practice smoke tricks but now I can't find one, I want one that looks nice and will produce a lot of vapor. Hey, if I'm correct. I think you are talking about an ego style ecig. Some people also call them hookah pens. You buy juices for them and you fill the tank. The tank is your atomizer which is what produces the clouds. The juices can be bought in many different flavours and you can also have different levels of nicotine for analog smokers (Cigarette Smokers) You can also get 0mg nicotine if you just wanna make clouds. All of the batteries are pretty much the same, you can get different sized batteries that hold more mAh. But the best battery is probably an adjustable vision spinner. As for tanks it depends. Some good companies to look for are Joyetech and Riva. Also, there is steps up from those ego style ecigs called APVs or Mods. An APV is and Advanced Portable Vaporizer, almost all APVs are larger than ego cigs but they can make a lot more flavour and vapor. Also with APVs you can adjust the wattage and voltage for stronger or weaker hits, better flavour, etc... And the step up from APVs is Mechanical Mods. Mech mods have no regulated circuitry so they are the best for cloud chasing, but do NOT jump into mech mods without knowing your battery safety, ohms law, and some understanding of wiring. By the way, cloud chasing is trying to make the biggest thickest clouds possible, some places have competitions and rate the contestants on cloud size/thickness. Oh, and on APVs and Mech Mods you have larger batteries, usually in the 16XXX range. These batteries have much more mAh than the small ego ones, but you must choose the right one for what you are doing or you risk a short, you don't want that. Shorting can lead to venting of your device which can make your device almost explode if it doesn't have holes somewhere for venting, probably the bottom cap. Lastly, on these APVs and Mech Mods. The atomizers you put on them can be much larger that the egos. There are 3 main atomizers. Tanks, RBAs or RDAs which are Rebuildable atomizers which give the best clouds and vapor quality, and there are Genesis Tank systems which are Rebuildable tank systems, they provide better vapor and flavour than tanks but usually not more than RBAs. RBAs and RDAs are Rebuildable meaning that you wrap your own coils with different ohms(resistance). Lower Resistance= Faster heat up. Not many APVs can do sub-ohming. That is when you build a cool system on an atomizer that is below 1 ohm in resistance. All mech mods can use sub-ohm builds because they are not circuit regulated, pretty much all of the battery power goes straight to the coils, that makes for faster heatups and larger hits, usually hotter hits also.
