VaPoRiZeR Tolerance Break- Revolutionary t-break idea

Discussion in 'General' started by skatealex2, Sep 21, 2009.

  1. It has come to the point that I am going to stop smoking for a few days............ thinking about becoming a weekend warrior.

I'm wondering what everyone thinks about this. Instead of being moody and sober- why not just hit the vaporizer a few times a day?

My reasoning is that the vaporizer doesn't burn you out and from what I understand you are mainly getting the chemical THC when you vape but nothing else - so my theory i s that vaping wont effect smoking/edible tolerance.

also in my experience i don't get the negative effects like social anxiety from vaporizing like i do with smoking and it seems to keep my head clear and gives me the medical benefits of mary jane-- and even a little more psychedelic than smoking in a way cause your energy keeps up.

What do you all think of my vaporizer toelrance break idea? :smoke:

  2. I'm not too sure.
I think that the general consumption of THC in any sort; albeit eddibles, smoking, vaporizer, etc... Will build up tollerance.
Because your not building up tollerance to the act of smoking, your building up tollerance to the RESULT of smoking.

    Hope i helped.
    :)

  3. Sorry, but you develop a tolerance to the THC, not the smoke.

  4. when you smoke it releases all the diferent cannabanoids though ...............

the vaporizer high is def much different than smoking. it will have an effect on tolerance but i don't think on such a high level because smoking releases a much different ratio of chemicals and cannabanoids

  5. As a frequent vaporizer user i have to say no, that probably wont work. As said before you develop a tolerance to the THC, in fact i think that since i started Vaping my tolerance has gone up since its so efficient

  6. that sucks. guess abstinence is the only way ;[

  7. It works with any method, but on different grounds then you suspected. Sure the lack of other cannaboids will effect you, but doesn't changing weed change those ratios and have the same affect? Strain Tololerence anyone? But the fact of the matter is if you don't smoke a bong for a month, a bong hit will fuck you up.

Different methods of smoking gives you this ability because the THC is delivered differently. For example, if I smoke a pipe, taking one hit everyone 5 minutes for 2 hours. I will get REALLY high, because usually I rip 5 bowls in a row. Therefor my body is not used to it.

So yes, it will work. And yes you can do the same with a bong. Trust me.

  8. Yea most defintely ^^^ Say if you were to vape during the week and than smoke on the weekends, which is usually more convenient when your out with your friends or what not anyway, your tolerance will be affected since your not used to smoking.

I love going back and forth between the two, it makes it so much more refreshing

  9. This intruiges me quite a bit.
Merely prolonging the smoking experience, will result in a stronger high?

I totally read your post wrong, so nevermind. But yea the longer you go without smoking the higher you will get next time, obviously.

  11. From my understanding THC is THC and your body builds a tolerance to it overtime and the only way to lower your tolerance is to not smoke/vape/ingest THC.

  12. 100% . When I wait till late at night to take a bong rip instead of hitting a bowl in middle of the day my high is significantly more intense. Try a few days and that gets even better.

Starting tomorrow i really want to go sober a few days, but the problem is that i usually end up saying say fuck it after a day or two :smoke:

  13. Do cardio/workout 6 days a week. I do and my tolerance plummets as a result. It's really nice to be in shape and have a low tolerance :hello:

  14. working out always adds a nice boost to the highs and keep my head more clear & increases energy.

    g0od idea!

  15. Not to burst your bubble, but this whole idea is completely and utterly false.

As mentioned, tolerance has nothing to do with the fact that you are smoking, it has to do with THC.
Vaporizing and smoking both deliver the same cannabinoids to your system, vaporizing just doesn't it without all the carcinogens in the smoke and it does it more efficiently.

Vaporizing is nice for a SMOKING break though (as opposed to a tolerance break)...if I notice I have somewhat of a cough developing I'll take a week or two to vaporize to help prevent from getting sick.

But the only way to lower your tolerance is to lower your weed intake, or even stop getting high for 2-4 weeks. Your tolerance will be significantly lower.

  16. a smoking break is always a good idea

i feel looser without all that smoke in my lungs. i think i am going to hit one joint later tonight(and some vaping) and that will mark the beginning of a break for me after my last vape.

    think about this
    - if someone vaporized for one/two week straight once/twice a day and than 'smoked' after the full week, i imagine the high would be really intense and different from when you are smoking nightly. also one thing i noticed with vaping is that i don't have the mind fog that comes with smoking

  17. Freshman year I lived in the dorms and I vaporized 90% of the time but the few times I did get to hit the bong it got me much higher. People say vaporizing will get you the highest every time but I feel thats because most people are used to the type of high you get from smoking. Now days I have plenty of nice glass ware so I dont use the vaporizer as much but when I do it gets me high as shiiit.

I'm not sure how well that will work for a tolerance break though. You're still building up your tolerance to thc. It's just a different type high than you're used to so it may feel like more.

  18. I've always considered a high from vaporizing more "clear-headed" and credit that to the lack of carcinogens. Inhaling smoke is simply not healthy and the chemicals in smoke can affect your body.

I notice no difference when I use a vape for 2 weeks and go back to smoking. You're looking into this all wrong. In fact, vaporizing tends to get me MUCH higher than smoking, so if anything I almost feel let down when I go back to smoking.

  19. but vaping doesn't give that strong body high--------unless you do it at a high tempature maybe?

i use a vaporstar vaporizer- maybe if i had the volcano i would get higher than smoking? im sure taking in a huge bag filled with vapor at one shot would be incredible. i have some friends that found the vaporizing high to be almost non effective on them....................... i like it cause it is very psychedelic feeling and clear/medicinal- the high from vaping is way more subtle for me

how much do you like to vape when you have sessions? the vaporizer high seems so much more medicinal - you probably get the anti cancer benefits of cannabis stronger from vaporizing and it doesn't mess with my heart/lungs like a bong can on occasion, and there is literally no reduced energy . i'm pretty sure i have read that the cannabanoid ratio from vaporizing compared to smoking is much different and like you are saying vaping obviously lacks the carginogens - with that said- when i eat an edible i still get the couch lock experience of marijuana even without the carginogens

  20. I get a strong body high from a vaporizer. In fact, (and this hasn't happened with smoking in a LONG time) it's easy for me to vaporize too much and get TOO HIGH. There was one night quite a few months ago that my wife and I turned off the lights and we were blowing the vapor through a beam of light coming off of my projector alarm clock, and we were having so much fun we kept vaping (remember this was with our normal amount of weed which is less than we smoke in a bowl). Soon we realized that we were incredibly high and we were just rolling around on the bed because our bodies felt so crazy. lol...and that was when our tolerance was actually pretty high.

I have had no problems with my Vapor Brothers (hands free style), I just turn the dial to the 12 'o clock position and let it heat up for a few minutes. Sometimes I even put the mouth piece to a bong and take big vape rips. Just remember to stir it every once-in-a-while...especially if you are pulling through a bong. You need to heat it efficiently and thoroughly.

I couldn't love vaporizing more. Sure, it's not for everyone and it doesn't mean I don't like to smoke. I just enjoy the fact that I can use less weed, get higher and then reuse the vaporized weed by making QWISO hash. Plus, since I don't smoke anything but weed, my lung health is somewhat important to me.

Couch lock is different than what I mean by "clear-headed". Carcinogens aren't what cause the couch lock effect. I was just saying that when I vape I don't feel so foggy and groggy. Vaporizing actually causes me to have crazy couch lock.
