So i just bought the Vaporite mini (vaporizer) for my GF. I am having some difficulties in use with it. She keeps on Really getting choked up on it , i got it for her because she has astma. I have tried lowering the heat but still it just chokes us out. Another thing is every time i look at my herb it looks more black than brown. I started the temps at about 333f but now use it at about 300 and turn it up a bit each time. So my questions are With this model or similar like it what temp have you found to be the best or the best method of raising or lowering the temp is? is it better to have really ground up herb or just pulled apart? Maybe i have the wrong whip ? Any other suggestions would help!!!
Vaping is about surface area, so the finer you can grind it up, the better results you will get. It sounds like your temperature gauge is not accurate, something that can happen in the less expensive vapes. Lower your temp until you abv comes out like tobacco, brown/light brown and crunchy to the touch.
Hi joshcereal and everyone. Sorta new here. I have a question and hope someone here can help. I just brought home (from local smoke shop) a Vaporite Mini, which is putting of a very chemically smell. I turned the unit on and cranked it to 400 and let it burn off any scents before I used it (about 20 minutes). Loaded fine ground top shelf and turned down to 380 and started drawing vapor. I got the vapor and didn't burn my stuff BUT... the smell of chemical came back emitting from the vents on the side of the box. Upon closer inspection of the heating element there is some sort of styrafoam and foil thing around the big glass tube around the heating element glass... on the INSIDE of the unit! There is no way to get to it. I am concerned because I have lung cancer and I am worried that somehow chemicals might be getting to me, even though the smell is inside the unit. As I write this I am noticing the taste of the smell. This is my experience with the Vaporite Mini--- which by the way... looking at the box across the room, it is said to be an air freshener. And maybe I just answered my own question. Maybe this unit is not to be used to inhale vapor. Maybe I just got royally ripped off because the guys in the shop don't care that I have cancer. Does anyone else have any experience with this unit? The box says Vaporite MINI Air Freshener VR-009. Like maybe I should take unit apart and remove the offending styrafoam stuff? I think I am stuck with it because earlier in the day I bought a NuLite - (Crap, gets too hot to hold in like 2 minutes, lol,) and had to take back and exchanged for this Vaporite MINI instead. He won't exchange or take back anymore. Cost me $120.00 too.... ouch! Please tell me I just need to remove that... but if I'm just an idiot... go ahead.. I can take it... let me know. And happy vaporizing!
OP, when I first started vaporizing, I noticed that I coughed much more the first two weeks than I do now. I somewhat attribute this to my lungs possibly clearing out some crap from smoking. Also, I think it takes some time to get used to the vapor. I took a bong hit last week for the first time in six month since switching to vaporizing and it killed me. @SeasideGypsy- I personally am very wary of this exact problem you are experiencing. I have read threads about vaporizer manufacturers who ship out their finished product with residual manufacturing oil left on the unit and expect the user to "burn it off" themselves. To me, these companies are not thinking of the medical user in mind who worries about what chemicals go into their bodies. Why vaporize when who knows what you're inhaling? I would recommend investing in a high quality vaporizer. To me, the VapeXhale Cloud is the best for the concerned medical user. It has an all glass vapor path. The heating element is totally isolated from your vapor. This is the purest way I know to vaporize.
Thank you fluge. I thought this WAS a higher quality at that price! LOL. I absolutely agree with you though. My concern is what do I do with this? I went through 2 cheap boxes ($45 ea) and a handheld at $200 and now another $120 on this, all in like a month! I'm broke and vapeless and disappointed to say the least. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer. I will check out the things you mentioned. Take care.
Yea, prices of vaporizers are quite high. There are affordable options. I, sadly, only have knowledge in the higher end of the spectrum. Maybe someone in the medical section might have some more info? Also, check out this site. Tons of good info on exclusively vaporizers.
