Iv never tried the mflb, I Wernt from a shitty 70$ vape to the volcano digit and I love tht thing, I only vape now,get the most flavorful hits, I only do bong with my glowwands, I'd suggest trying kief in it, or some more crystaly bud, that brings out alot of flavour/ also I think there's a mflb forum/ sorry for no helpful info but I would suggest keep trying to vape, once u get used to it youl enjoy it more then smoking and itl get u so much higher, off way less too!! / also if it has a temp control( don't know if it does) but if it does lol try and turn it up more or test diff temps out, I go through 4 dif demp settings when I vape, 77,80,87,95 all ferenheight

 

If you have been smoking bowls/pipes for a long time, I can tell you from experience that it will take a little adjustment before your senses opened up to the full flavors of good vapor. I smoked for 6-7 years straight before switching to vaping and it was a slow transition for me.

At first, everything tasted like popcorn. My current friends who smoke say the same thing when they try my vapes, but I am turning some minds slowly.

Now I am the other way around: Bowls and Pipes taste like shitty ash to me, and vaporizers taste like full unaltered herbs with all the subtleties.

My favorite varporizer for taste is by far the Inhalater INH004, followed by the VapeXhale Cloud, followed by the HerbalAire. I rank the Volcano last on my list if I am judging only by taste.


By far more common than "popcorn taste" is "breakfast taste" to me when vaping now. That's a flavor I get when I am vaping a bit too hot, or just towards the end of a load being "cached". I always start with medium temps to get the flavinoids. Hit some Mango Kush last night and it was absurd in the vapes.

My buddy I smoke the most with is basically a convert now. He is borrowing my HerbalAire because it tastes so good and he hasn't smoked since borrowing it. But it took him several months to get to that point.

 

i know with the mflb u can over heat the weed causin it to taste bad and or harsh

The tiny amount of weed I use in an elbow pack is ridiculous. Plus I always have the bag option for when friends are over.

 

It shouldn't taste like that. Vaporized bud should taste better, not worse, than burning it. I'm sure you'd enjoy a good one, although like you said, most like the MFLB, although not all.

 

If you overheat the bud, it'll taste like burnt popcorn

The MFLB is a bad vape to try using as the technique is critical to getting good tasty hits

thats xactly what i wanted to do..use the bag for when friends r over and elbow/whip for whipping/vape bonging

I originally used the cyclone bowl for bags, and the elbow pack for the whip, but I found that I just like to use the elbow pack for both now. Cyclone is fine if you don't mind sitting there puffing on the whip for awhile . . . the elbow is more like a regular "hit" off of a bong, joint, etc. The nice thing about the cyclone bowl is it doesn't really require much stirring. You might have to unload the elbow pack once, stir, and reload if you vape the same material on different temperatures.

I'll still use the cyclone bowl for bags if I want to blow several in a row and don't want to re-pack.

I like to vape my herbs three different times: 185, 205, and 230C
You'll be amazed at how high you can get off a little bit in an elbow pack! Don't forget the importance of letting your unit/glass heat up for a few min once it reaches temperature.

 

If u stick to bongs get a glowand if u want flavourful bong hits, but for vape I suggest try a better vape and stick to it for a bit, everything takes a tiny bit of commitment, I suggest a better vape,that should mayb do flavour trick, cuz ur starting out with a really small portable one and that one in particular doesn't seem like itd gve u alot if flavour, but something like the pax, that has flavour and is almo as small as that

I hated the MFLB it seemed to just sort of spark, scorch and combust. What was left in the trough was blackened. I used it a couple of times then shelled out for the volcano and also the iolites, both original and wispr. Volcano had no learning curve or "getting used to it". The very first time I used it it didn't seem to get me high. Thought this vape thing is emperor's new clothes. But after that second try -- all I can say is wow! No question. Haven't combusted in five years.
