I decided to clean my vape's whip with the commercial bong cleaner Resinate and it seems I may have ruined it. The rubber part of the whip still distinctly smells like the resinate even after thoroughly rinsing it with water and soap many times, so Im worried that it can't be washed off. What do you guys think? Any suggestions for cleaning it further (trying to get the resinate off) or you guys think its ruined/ok to use? Thanks for any reply, d
There's not really a good way to clean tubing. Sometimes chemicals can just sit or eat away at tubing depending on how strong they are. I personally wouldn't take my chances inhaling fumes. It's best to just get rid of it and buy new tubing..its cheap. $3 for about 3 feet of medical/food grade tubing. Iso alc and salt should be enough for cleaning things off glass. Make sure you rinse with hot water.
Yeah tubing's tough, but when it comes to glass, just put the piece(s) in your freezer for a couple of hours. Then when you take it out, the wandhash will slide right off if you poke and scrape it with something.
When my vape bowl/tubing get T'd up. a) get a pan of water hot and sit the tubing in it (don't get water inside the tube/bowl) hold both ends out of the water till its all good and hot b) pour about a shots worth of Ever Clear (PGA) in the tubing/bowl, slosh it up and down till its clean (you may need a toothpick to rub the sides of your bowl to get it clean) c) pour the tainted alcohol onto a piece of glass to dry d) once dry scrape the leftovers up for later use
