Using visine.

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by Johnny Cash, Oct 28, 2010.

  1. I get really red eyes but other than that there's no way of telling whether I'm stoned or not. Except for the fact that my right eye lid sits a little lower than the left, which is also the case when I'm tired.
So I guess visine would be a good solution, but I've heard some people say that they become 'addicted' to it. They say that if they use it a lot and then don't use it, their vision gets blurry. Is that true? Because I don't want that.

  2. I know that frequent use of Visine can cause some vision problems, and can also cause Visine to stop working correctly. If used too often your eyes can become red without even smoking weed because they are so accustom to the Visine drops.

If you only need to use it from time to time (every couple days or so max) you should be fine. If your eyes get noticeably red, then just try to avoid bringing attention to them.

  3. Well you know the winter is coming so sunglasses won't do it anymore. So if I use it 3 times a week, would there be any negative effects?

  4. I used to use it every once in a while when I'd be going out after I'd smoked. Maybe a few times a week like you said.

A few months later my eyes started burning really bad for the first half hour or so after I'd wake up in the morning.
It stopped after I quit using Visine.

For me personally, I'd rather try to talk my way out of the red eyes than use Visine for it. :p

I need my sunglasses just as much in the Winter as i do in the summer. When the Winter Sun is low in the sky, it shines at an angle that puts it's rays right into your eyes instead of coming more from above..............or so it would seem.

I actually can't recall the last time i worried about red eyes. I would, however, not use drops and like JD said, just talk your way out of it.....Allergies, bad night's sleep, etc.

  6. Man I used to use that shit like crazy, but now my eyes don't even seem to get too red, unless I've been smoking all day long :D. It seems like just around my eyes on my eyelids, that actually gets red now.

So now I'll get super baked and go anywhere without worrying about my eyes. If they do get red who gives a fuck. If anyone bring it up with you just say you were swimming or go dust in yours eyes or some shit. As long as you don't give them a reason to think you're high, they won't know.

  7. I use visine all the time and I'm not addicted. They're eyedrops. That take away the redness in your eyes. Investing in a bottle of it would be a good choice.

  8. Dont use eyedrops with astringents. I think visine has hydrolozine, which is a pretty fucked up chemical. Read up on it a bit. I think theres a brand opcon-a that is pretty safe but I'm not positive.

  9. If you use it too often, the tissue in your eyes can become dependent on it and stop creating natural liquid in your eye. This is the case with body lotion, chapstick, etc.

    I suggest rhotos

  10. Wintertime is usually pretty cloudy out here. But if I keep going like this people are gonna think I have constant allergies haha.

  11. I woulda thought that the Winter Sun was even more glaring in the Netherlands 'cause you're further North, decreasing the angle of the sun and making it lower in the sky...........:confused_2:

    Learn sumptin' new everyday!!

  12. its all about the clear eyes because i feel they work alot better than visine and they dont burn when you put em in
