i need to know how often to spray fungicides/pesticides if im trying to be proactive/ spray before anything happens
as a rule of thumb spray 1 time weekly AS NEEDED. i would give a good spraying at the beginning as you stated but not again unless i see signs of trouble. be sure to spray both the top and the bottoms of the leaves and the top soil of EVERY plant . also no direct light for 24 hrs! watch, study, learn your leaves they will tell u erything.....
