I really dont have money to spend on lights but I found 2 fluorescent lights with 2 bulbs in each. I think they are 25 watts each so in total its 100 watts. I also have a regular 75 watt bulb and a 40 watt. Would this be enough accumulated wattage to grow? Also, will there be a noticeable spike in the elextricity bill? thanks for the help
might be able to use the floresents.. the normal 75 wat lightbulbs u find around your house wont do anything for your plant.... in my opinion i wouldnt even bother growing unless I had an HPS light, just an opinion tho.
The 100 watts of fluoro will be enough to get things started but won't be enough to finish it (plants will have so much potential left)...As for the regualr bubls they won't be of any use...Make a trip to your local Home Depot or Wal-mart (or similar) and grab a pack of Compact Florecents Lightsbubls. It's like 12 bucks for a pack of 4 and then you'll be set.
It's still worth growing if you do what Vokal said. The electricity won't be a problem, unless you don't pay the bill of course.
