Using fox farm trio

    When I am growing an auto flower from fox farm ocean soil, can I just let it grow into the end of veg and then start feeding it the nutrients starting on to feed it blooming nutrient schedule like tiger bloom. My last plant I was growing in fox farm in a 3 gallon container and I have it no additional nutrients and it got nutrient deficiency and died.

    why did u let it die and not just feed it?

    You could make it all the way into flower, but better to have some veg nutrients. I barely used any though and veged my regular seed plants for 6 weeks from breaking soil in FFOF.

    Because I didn't know what to use to feed it, what brand.

    Not sure what happened with your last plant, but FFOF is very hot. I ran water though a pot of FFOF with no plant in it just to check the PPMs of the soil because I was nuking my seedlings. The soil had a PPM of 850!!!!! I was adding nutrients (half the dose) and I was getting 2k+ runoff numbers. I running two plants now in a mix of FFOF and Rox farm little warrior and my new plants are exploding with just water. 4 weeks in from seed. I’m going to do exactly what you are talking about, no nutrients until veg or signs. Because FFOF is so hot I did layer the soil when I transplanted them into 5 gallon buckets. Mix at the top of FFOF and little warrior and straight FFOF at the bottom. My thought process is that by the time the plant’s hit the straight FFOF, they will be able to handle the heat.

    Yea I did a slurry test on FFOF a few weeks back and it showed about 650PPM, which is pretty high. Run off always seems to show higher, because I had 1500 or even 2000PPM month back when my plants were in vegetative. I since rely on slurry/soil test, not run off.

    Hey I’m growing in soil and my plants are about 48 days old . These are not autos ... but anyway... how long until I should be adding the Grow Big?

    I use Fox Farm Trio for soil as well for my plants.....I start giving them grow big about day 7 above ground.....then when I switch to flower.....I quit using grow big and start using tiger bloom....I also use beastie bloomz during flower as well

    Ok maybe I’ll add some grow big this weekend.. do you not use the big bloom?

    No, I dont use that....I used to....but now I just buy bigger bottles of the Grow Big and Tiger Bloom

    I personally only use 3 things.....Fox Farms Grow Big, Fox Farms Tiger Bloom, and Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz....thats it.
