    how old should your plant be before using ferts.and what is best for them i read that tomato plant food is good for them but what is the best ferts

    I'm sure you've heard this before, but I'll bring it up again. Use the search button for easy basic questions. It saves a repeated topic and gets you your question a lot faster. :)

    As for your question, you shouldn't fert until your plant is 21 or so days old. And the levels you'll want is-

    For vegging- Look for ferts with a higher first number

    For flowering- Look for ferts with a higher middle number
