Using coco coir for 10lb smart pots

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by xReDeYeZ, Jul 6, 2019.

  1. I plan on transferring 10 plants from veg into 10lb smart pots and wanted to stay coco/ perlite mix. I have blocks of coco coir that I have to wash and buffer and it was a pain in the ass to do for the veg size pots it has me wondering how much it will take to do 10 x 10lb pots and how I can wash and buffer that much coco at a time. Maybe use a small swimming pool or my laundry tub to let it soak in then filter it with the hose outside?

  2. Wheel Barrow possibly? Or kiddy pool sounds promising/cheap.

  3. Before I found Royal Gold Tupur, I used one of those whiskey barrel planters with some holes drilled in the bottom to rinse the salts off. The Tupur is good to go from the bag

  6. Tupur is supposed to be the bees knees. I have been considering a coco grow next, and decided to go with Tupur if/when I do. Buffering coco seems like a pain in the ass.

  7. The only thing I don't like about tupur is that it has composted forest material. Because I don't use organic support microbes, it seems to cause more problems than it's worth. I'm planing on trying out Soul Soilless when my current bag of tupur is gone.

  9. Using 10 gallon containers when growing in coco is totally unnecessary. You can grow a tree in a 3 gallon pot when using coco.
    Good luck.
