Curious what is the best source to get chlorine dioxide to clear out a 900 sq ft room (basement). Seems ProKure is overly expensive and doesn't cover the whole room unless you spend 500$ on a bunch of 25g packets. I have to imagine there are much better options or brands for the price
to put a cancer into a room. How will you get this clean after ? My suggestions is sulfer . Burn it . Burn it thick. Dead mites most bugs. Most germs .Suggest leave the x in the room to make sure it all burns properly .
What kind of an ozone generator would produce enough PPM to kill mold for a 900 SQ ft (7200 cubic ft) basement? Those cheap $100 ones on Amazon are not good enough. I bought one and used it on my basement between cycles, it didn't get rid of the spores as PM came back, and even the basement bugs like spiders and whatnot survived the ozone so I knew the mold survived it too. I have a 5x10 tent in the basement but outside of that tent there's carpet, couches and stuff so I know that a gas of some kind needs to be used here to get rid of the spores in the entire basement, not just inside the tent. I hear people use sulfur burners and it's just a temporary mask and that the spores are still there. Not sure if I would want to use sulfur outside of my tent as well in the rest of the basement
Ozone Generators for Permanent Odor Removal | OdorFree Not worth it. You have to burn it in the entire basement Also i sure you know get the air moving in the entire basement and vent the tent. There may be spores but they wont settle . I would burn a boat load of sulfer . Some road flares will do it costs 5 bucks. Only if its an empty basement .
I'm not sure I understand your post, what's not worth it? What would you be doing if you had a basement that half of it had carpet TV couches and all that and the other half had a grow tent all in the same 1 big open space? Clearly I need to be able to get the entire basement and not just inside the grow tent since the spores would be everywhere
I would get a big fan in the window Like a duck fan grow fan for carbon filters so on.. It would suck all the air out . I would wipe all surfaces clean . Vacuum the carpet more then a few times . Run that fan for a few days . You can get a leaf blower . Blow every surface well. Continue the process over a three days. Then most of the mold spores will be out . Later i would leave a fan in the chimney let it run 24/7 to continue to suck the basement air out of the house to exchange it with clean air. No chimney then window on low and other fans need to be moving that basement air small fan blowing across the entire basement will work. See your air got stale . Mold spores love stale air. if the air were fresh spores wont thrive . What did you have powder mold or bud rot ? Humidity under 70 % always . Its hard in the super hot summer and for a few days i would not worry about molds . As long as later the % goes below 70. You really never want it higher then 45 % in a total sealed room. I also used to grow in a basement . Fans fans and more fans needed .Vent the basement needed . If your wondering just turning on the furnace fan wont cut it . Serious mold can also be slowed stopped with a dehumidifier . Listen i did basement grows and the humidity in the summer spiked 90 % i never had mold on the buds or inside i cut off the dehumidifiers to save on the ebill .I had it all set up like im telling you . I did retire from growing . I never even put plants outside yet. Been growing so long its time to let somebody else do it .
These kind of windows don't open in this basement lol. You don't think an ozone generator would do it? I have dehumidifiers, I have fans and all that. I just want to clear out the basement of PM spores. No bud rot issue
The chimney ? Do you have forced air ? Is there a spot for a fan ? Not sure send a pic . Where the furnace plumbs out . If not shoot. Turn the furnace fan on run it 24 hours . Leave the upstairs windows open make fans blow the air at the furnace better then not doing it at all . You need to keep the air moving downstairs with fans even outside of the tent. And vent the tent into the basement . Yeah PM run fans blowing directly onto to plants 24 hours every cycle usually keeps it away. Let put it this way. New grow new home . No mold spores . No vents in the basement lack of fans on the plants. Mold will be on the plants in a few days for sure. Its more your setup then the situation. I think if you have fans going in the tent basement you be good to go.
