Hey everyone.. So I've been doing some reading on far red and lighting spectrum, and I have a quick question.

I've attached my light spectrum for reference.

So the veg switch has 2 cobs, some blue led's, a uv led, and a red one I think... The bloom just has 2 cobs and supplemental reds.

Would it be of any benefit to run the bloom mode only, just for the transition week (1st week) of 12/12, then switch the rest on from week 2 onwards?

1st pic is veg mode, 2nd is both. [IMG][IMG]

  2. No that's a bad idea , the added reds are likely to cause extra stretching, I don't use my reds until vertical growth has stopped. I would use them together veg and bloom to balance out the spectrum

  3. Thank you ... I was just trying to figure out if it will help with a quicker transition from veg to flower due to the change in spectrum.

I'll stick with both switches on, I can't outgrow the space due to stretching because I'll have nowhere else to keep the plant.

I might just save up and get a far red flower initiator.
