Using Baking Soda?

  1. I just got an idea that may prevent mold that i wonder if any1 else has tried. Would it help to keep moisture and humidity down when your drying your plants if u keep some baking soda in the room? Has anyone tried this. just an idea
  2. Seems sensible. Ill try that out.
  3. I think its in the refrigerator to absorbe odor. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with absorbing moisture.
  4. Baking Soda does absorb moisture, so it could be beneficial.

    31. Moisture Absorber: Anywhere in your home where moisture is a problem, place a bowl or open box of Baking Soda in that area to absorb the moisture.

    here's another suggestion:

Damp Closets - wrap 12 pieces of chalk together with yarn, and hang them from a peg in the closet.

Neither would be an expensive experiment, both are natural & non toxic I can't see where it could do any harm to try. A lot easier to give an idea a shot if it's inexpensive & safe. :)
  5. I stand corrected. Where'd ya learn that?
