Hey guys I am going to be starting a grow box pretty soon and I am planning on having 2 24" floros in my veg side but I was wondering if I want to use an HPS bulb what kind of fixture do I need to power it up? Do I need a Balast?
Yes you will need a ballast. I recommend using a detachable ballast. They are usually a little bit more but are worth it. Expect to pay $150-$400 for a HPS ballast. Use your floros for vegging then switch em to the HPS for max yields and growth ptoential.
