  1. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE TYPE OF PESTS I WILL SEE IN MY CLOSET. ITS GOT CARPET ON THE FLOOR, IM USING A 400W HPS AND A 40W CFL WITH 6500k OUTPUT AT THE SAME TIME. IM USING A FAN TO BRING IN COOL AIR FROM THE WINDOW, AND A FAN TO COOL THE PLANTS FROM THE HPS TEMP STAYS ABOUT 75-78 ALL DAY WITH WINDOW OPEN AND i NEED TO KNOW HOW CLOSE I CAN GET THE LIGHT TO MY PLANTS, BUT REALLY SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO TO PROTECT MY GROWING BABIES, FROM PESTS AND EVEN ANTS.

  2. i grow in my closet also and i put down a tarp then plywood. this hels alot. also have a towel handy and clean up any water spills asap. this will help with bugs alot. also need good ventilation to cut down on bugs, intake and exaust.
    check out my room.

Turn your caps off next time. I use a 400 mh/hps in my closet and I don't have any bugs or anything like that. You can lay down pond liner which is a really thick black tarp style material used in...well ponds. Use that as a run-off tray to catch water and it will also keep the bugs out of your carpet. You can find it at any home depot or lowes. During spring walmart might even have it.

EDIT: If you're uber cheap, you can lay down plastic garbage bags and duct tape them to the floor just make sure to leave extra to tape to the walls so when you spill it doesn't seep into the cracks between the wall and carpet.
