  1. Has anyone ever seen them?
I used to go every year to the Saxophone Symposium at George Mason University and watch both the entire orchestra and the jazz ensemble, "The Commodores." I haven't been in something like 5 years due to conflicts and, since the orchestra is playing as I type this, I obviously couldn't go tonight, but tomorrow night the Commodores are playing. As a sax player, going to see a great professional jazz band that is featuring the sax is of great interest to me.
If you're in the MD/DC/NoVA area this weekend and want to see/hear some of the greatest jazz musicians of our time I'd hope you'd come out.
    Also, I think it's free.:hello:

  2. no one?!
seriously, check them out people, you will not be disappointed.

  3. I've seen them in the past at GMU, as well.

I may go tomorrow, if I actually get off work when I'm scheduled to get off.

  4. Yes, most excellent taste in music friends

  5. goin tonight!!!! im excited.
Gonna pick up some friends in Potomac then head to GMU.
If anyone else is going and sees 3 guys chillin outside and u wanna say "hi" just drop the phrase "blades" into a convo, it'd be cool to run into some other GCers.

  6. The Commodores rocked!
awesome music, great musicians, all round good show.
the featured sax players were fantastic but they had a guitar player and a drummer that were absolutely stellar. Being a professional jazz musician must be the best life ever.

  7. Fuck man I need to see some good live Jazz.
