After watching many videos on Youtube, and reading many candidate's websites, I decided to create a list that who we should (in general) stay away from, and who we should stray towards. As I said, I watched and read many topics and items of the candidates, and some were so ridiculous I had to take a joint break... so I created this thread to share what I know. (sorry for the large pictures, I tried to resize them with the resizing feature on the forum, but it didn't work ) Sen. McCain DISPROVED Sen. McCain approves of the federal raiding homes that legally possess medical marijuana. The users and the caretakers would then be arrested. info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3PndjzQ-Qk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAlH1oZ0NfU&feature=related Gov. Huckabee DISPROVED Gov Huckabee is most likely the worse candidate I have yet to see. He completely ignores the raiding and seizures of the medical marijuana patients and caretakers. info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olHneVKNjFg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReVAk_IxLVM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-BFEhkIujA&feature=related NOTE this video above I thought I add in here, not just because I disagree with how he responded, but he specifically states that you either believe in God or evolution. He completely misses every single other religions or philosophies. Disgusting. Rep. Dennis Kucinich APPROVED Rep Kucinich seems from first view a great candidate. He agrees to approve of medical marijuana and even would like to visit the terminally ill marijuana patients who fear in being raided and arrested. Thank you, rep. Kucinich. info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utay1Dq-d5k Mayor Rudy Giuliani DISPROVED Mayor Rudy Giuliani, to sum it up, has no idea what he is talking about. He states that marijuana is a very dangerous drug, and is harming the young people of America. He opposes medical marijuana, but states he knows a lot about marijuana. Stray away from him. info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFHfpz57NV0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyq7IzONnsk Rep. Ron Paul APPROVED Ron Paul is the #1 choice. He is a great guy, and there is no need to go further because everyone knows about Rep. Ron Paul. Go Ron Paul! info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHS_y94H1Dk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8I7625eWDU Gov. Romney DISPROVED Gov. Romney is once again, a biased candidate. Please, stray away from Romney. Overall he is a bad candidate, and disproves of marijuana medically overall. He will not end federal raids on dying patients. Good going? You got my vote! info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLfju13pgvg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U6biFpvfHw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY6UTnS6Z-A HILLARY CLINTON NEUTRAL The reason I decided to give Hillary a neutral placement is because she stated that she would research medical marijuana more. I though it would be more fair and not just say "She avoided the question, therefore she disproves of it". Below I have gathered some information on her reasoning. info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP-GgIVRyV8 Senator Barack Obama APPROVED I thought a while if I should neutral Obama or approve of Obama. I ended up approving him because overall I believe he is an OK candidate. He somewhat hesitated on the medical marijuana, but he is a man of his words and I know he will keep is promise. info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUze-oYsswI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGzHgcrK75c This is all I have, for now atleast, and If anyone would like some info on a certain candidate, please ask, and I'll be glad to setup a new space on this post for him. Sorry if anything is spelled wrong or something, I'm a bit stoned -Arnack
IDK the title seems a little misleading, I was expecting to see more than just views on marijuana. I know to some people the issues around the plant are extremely important, but I think its a little unfair to say "stay away from so and so cause they dont like medical marijuana." Nice thread though to answer the many questions I've seen about who supports med marijuana etc, title just seems a lil misleading
I think it's best the OP only talked about these candidates pertaining their views on marijuana because that's the first and foremost issue we have a common stance about here on the forums. He wouldn't have been speaking for everyone if he took on other issues. The rest of the judging of candidates is up to you.
Haha, ya dude, I dont know if this is what you are personally doing or not, but I am just going to say that if anyone bases their whole opinion of a canidate on their position on weed, thats fucked up. Personally I would even say that basing your whole opinion on a few you tube videos from each person is a little weak too, but being fair thats better than most.
