We all know that urine is good for our plants, it's been a fact for a long time and I know it's hard to get your head round. Pouring dilute Piss on my girls just don't sound right. But you can, and people do. I'm interested in the natural PH of urine, so if your up for it pop ur ph meter/stips in ur water and let me know the PH. Could be a sort of compo
Please don't quote me, but isn't it also true that urine has way too much nitrogen, and can actually be bad for your plant And plus would you really like smoking your buds with your dried piss all over your tri's, you could call it Lemon Piss
Yes, it can contain quite a bit but I did say "Pouring dilute Piss on my girls" an EC meter would give you a good guide to strength and could experiment.
That technique is mostly used outdoors, where you have pretty much unlimited dilution in the soil. I would not do it in a container garden, because of the chance of burning your plants. Oh, and you don't pee ON your plants, just the soil. Unless you're sick like that.
It varies. Mine is usually around 6.5. I've only tested it a few times. To use urine, you need to dilute it, at least 1:10. Start around 1:30, and work up from there. Also, because the Nitrogen mostly needs to be broken down before the plant can utilize it, you need to have a strong food-web (micro-herd, whatever your pet name is for the thousands of species of bacteria that live in good, living soil). Because it is high in N and low in P&K, it is an excellent substance to mix with things like comfrey fertilizers, producing a nice balanced feed. Again, it must be diluted first. Note: urine is one of those fluids that you can definitely taste in the leaves. But because it's only used in veg (well, sometimes in the early flowering period) it will in no way affect the taste of the final bud. Most folk flush with plain water for the last week or two, and because Urine provides sustained release Nitrogen, it will keep feeding the plants long after any trace of "Piss" can be detected. -mu

js333x, don't forget the part about having a strong micro-herd. Urea needs to be broken down to be effective, and if it's not done effectively, could be toxic to a plant in the process (though wouldn't kill them at the recommended dilutions). Watch your plants' response. If your soil is good, with plenty organic matter, well matured, etc, you still need to start with a weak dilution, and work up, allowing time for the correct bacteria to multiply in the soil. Unless used with top quality soil, you also need to ensure that the plant has everything else, particularly P & K, piss is fairly imbalanced in Nitrogen. But you can mix diluted piss with organic feeds imbalanced in other nutrients, things like Comfrey (High Potassium [K]). Check out the link in Spanishfly's sig, or search for Comfrey. In a similar way that a hydroponic grower mixes general hydro's three-part solution, an organic grower can mix-and-match soil feeds specific to the plant's nutritional needs, at whatever stage of maturity they are entering, though more subtle and profound. Urine is only one of a host of useful substances kicking around your locale, but an important one, and totally free!
