Here I go again! DAY 000 High all, Since my current grow has ended and my harvest is hanging to dry, I can try again. This time around with known seeds NL x BB from Nirvana. Last time I tried to germinate in general potting soil, which seemed a bit too harsh for the seeds so now I'm using soil for seedlings or clones. This should have better eC and pH. Germinating and growing I'll do under the fluro's and I started with half of my fluro's, because everything is so small and electricity is sooo expensive. I'm running a mere 108W now. Here look : The cups are now about 2 inches from the tubes, lets see if proper soil and good light from day 0 helps avoid stretching and promote faster growth. Let see if I can improve my growing skills once more!
Awesome man, I can't wait to see how this turns out. How many watts is your HPS? 3rd times a charm. Good Luck. -Bob
Thanks guys! I'll sure try to avoid all mistakes I did in the last grow and hope to get better results. It's not that the last harvest was a disappointing in anyway but I know I could have done better, and that itches. And I'll be using a Philips Master SON-T Plus 400W HPS. After I'm done vegging ofcourse.
Soil for seedlings and clones sometimes has added nutes in it. This is not the case here right? You can use than Son T for veg if you like. It will get them bigger quicker. I am now subscribed to this bad girl.
DAY 005 @SmknVTEC : the package of the seedling/cloning soil does not state any nutes. But I suppose it's allmost impossible to produce soil that's totally void of nutes. It's been 5 days since I stuck the seeds straight into the soil from their package. No soaking in water, no cottons just soil. All of the seeds have germinated, 10 out of 10, that's a 100% germination rate. WOW! Pretty good! Thank you Nirvana! I've been running the lights 24/7 since day 000, trying to keep the seedlings at a constant temperature between 20 and 25 Celcius. Ventilation is still strong, I want them to feel the breeze as soon as they stick their heads out of the soil. See here the picture of my babies : I find it difficult to image that these puny little barely-alives will grow up to become some sticky-icky dripping hot babes! All the more greater the miracle. And o yeah welcome to anybody else on this thread, be sure to stay tuned for more progress reports.
OK good. If it does not say it has ferts anywhere on the bag then I am satisfied it does not. I like to go 24/7 at first too and switch to 18/6 at week two. I feel that this also forces them to show sex without even turning the lights back any further to 12/12. Cute girls you got there. Hard to believe they turn into hot sexy chicks with double D trichs and phat bubble buds.
lmao, nice imagery. I'm going to try that lighting schedule with my next grow, ty smkn. can't wait to see these grow urgreatestfear. I got blueberry from Nirvannah as well, be starting them soon, glad to here about your success rate, hope I'm as lucky, peace
UPDATE DAY 007 I took these pictures yesterday. Out of 10 that germinated 7 are doing good. 3 are moving at glacial speed. I have no idea why they're growing soo slowly, but I expect them to be dead soon. Anybody else ever have seeds that cracked open, started to grow and then got stuck in first gear? Alas all you evil-doer insects! Meet here, the Guardian Of Ganja: Thanks for tuning in everybody, it's allways good to know that not only me is benefitting from my experience and journals. Keep growing!
I had one plant that was a runt for about 2 weeks and then it started to boom, turned out to be a female and is now the biggest plant in my box! I may have been a little lucky but have hope for the babies they might still come through!
