URGENT: plants wilting

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by gr1dlock, Feb 27, 2010.

  1. hi all, i switched my plants from vegging to flowering yesturday, i have just checked on them now and they have started to fold over asif they are really weak. the temperature was really high and i am hoping they start to pick back up. wot can i do to cool the tent down im running a 600w hps bulb, i have my airflow set up correctly but its still stupidly warm! its a hydro grow by the way.

  2. could it be just a shock to the system from the feed change and light switch over?

I have the same problem, used 600w bulbs for vegetating light on all time 24-7 and they were fine, just 4 days after changing to 12-12, and one day after topping up with soil, the top of the plants curled up and became brown and the lower leaves hang down. Did a soil flush on one of them, and thinking about buying new soil... this sucks! I put them back to 24hr light.
    Unbelievable fast they wilt.

  4. What kind of room is the tent in? Mind saying exactly what kinda vent. set up you have?

  5. Anyway you can monitor the night time temps? A 20 degree temp fluctuation between the day and night cycle will stress them out.
Did you flush between the veg and bloom nutrients?
If you could get us a picture that will really help.

As far as cooling your tent, you need more air flow. what kind of exhaust/intake set up do you have? is it controlled or do you just leave them on?

  6. I would not flush them yet. Give it a day or so.
Can you take a pic and let us have a look? If you could take a picture either just before or just after the lights change, that would be best. The flash is a more natural light than the flowering bulb.
I'll do my best to help!

  7. doing fine now, i think they must av been really shocked.

  8. I removed the dry wilted parts of the plants, looks retarded, added some baking soda yesterday to increase the PH, which I cannot measure. Today the plant that I flushed looks like it is doing better. I'm going to try to do the 12-12 again.
