Upward claw/ canoeing diagnosing ? Help!

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by AceUpMySleve, Mar 7, 2023.

  1. So I got This issue with upward canoeing fan leaves and I’ve had it for a couple weeks originally I figured it was definitely the heat/light but after adjusting that I can’t seem to come down to just one problem when it first happened it was bad and there wasn’t any nute burn like you can see at the Tips now

I haven’t been giving it any nutrients for the past couple waterings my runoff for most of my plants is about 6.6 6.5 and for only one of them it is 6.3-ish

anyway I just foil are sprayed with micro nutrient mix that I have because I’m noticing some light green chewing on my nose and I want to switch to flower ASAP probably going to start tomorrow

I’ve run a 24 seven light cycle and always do for vegetation and never have problems with it I know I could say I’m getting too much light/heat stress from them but my heating is about 74 exact and my laser temp on the top leaves is 70

I’ve turn down my light so that it’s getting a part of about 200 maybe less at the top they used to run close to eight until this happened and with no problems

I don’t want them to grow up any taller than they are there at about 5 foot and I want to switch to flower I guess a couple questions are can I switch the flower with the leaves upward canoed and have no issues is it OK to do that?

i’ve never had an upward canoeing issue in all my runs and I’m pretty much dialing down the diagnosis to this point for it at excess nutrient

I don’t think it’s a lockout even though they’re not growing much more because the pH level is pretty good and I think they’re just at the height that they are supposed to be

I just want to know if I switch to flower if that’s OK because I’m guessing that my nutrient burn issue will be solved once I switch to flowers and supplant will absorb the excess nutrients for the flowering

Please expert help I need I got these three beauties that are for personal use only and I’m running them under a hortilux 700 ES

    thankyou !

    p.s
These little yellow dots / brown dots are calcium issue right? Not septoria ??? PleSe let me know

  2. Looks like light stress. Too close or too much. You do realize that once in flower, those will about double in size. I'd really recommend giving them a break.....24/7 is too much, plants need to rest. 18/6 works great for veg.

  3. i agree after about 18 hours the plants automatically go to sleep so the 24/7 is a bad idea. there is a reason everyone runs 18/6 that being said flip tonight to 12/12 because your stretch may out grow your headroom they look healthy enough to me I vote flip ASAP

  4. Every run I average 1 foot - 1 1/2 foot max of stretch at the same size plant so I’m not to worried about that

  5. plus I’ve always run 24/7 for the veg and flip to 12 / 12 after but yea I get that
