Going to get some herbal relief this week, just can't smoke in my room as I promised the landlord/my friend that I wouldn't. I know that small amounts under 25 grams are decriminalized and nothing to worry about. I am considering places to smoke in the area, but am wondering about the public burning/view thing. I am thinking about smoking in a public park in the area. Now for the public view, does the cop have to actually witness me smoking to charge me. I lived in the city for a while and the cops would actually break the law by asking people to "empty" their pockets, therefore criminalizing them to the public view misdemeanors. So, let's say I smoke in the park and someone calls the cops. I see the cops before they see me and throw the pipe/bud in my pockets. I'm guessing for the law to work they would have to prove I was smoking in public view, which is not easy to do until they directly catch me?
