Upsidedown sprouts?

  1. So I planted some seeds in those little peat pellets you get from the local garden shop. After just 48 hours I was thrilled to see the first two of them sprout. But then last night I noticed bit of a problem.

One of the little babies was doing just fine - first two leaves came in and she (hopefully it's a girl lol) was a lovely green color. The other one, however, is growing upside down. The root is about an inch above the soil. Close inspection revealed that a third plant has sprouted and is growing sideways - the root is growing out the side of the jiffy pot.

So I guess I've got a couple of mentally retarded sprouts. What do I do with them? Do I a) throw them out cause they're obviously too stupid to live? :D or b) leave em alone cause they'll eventually figure things out for themselves, or c) gently break open the peat pellet and replant them right sid up?

  2. replant them
