Here’s an update on my grow. It’s day 22 from seed and I’ve transplanted 4 out of 7 plants into 5 gallon buckets. The medium is a 70/30 mix of happy frog and perlite. I topped one plant last week and the rest yesterday the 12th. The one I topped last week is already doing great and is showing two tops instead of one. Transplanting the other 3 in a few days. Some info, they’re on a 20/4 light schedule. They’re outside from around 10am till 9pm on nice days, then brought inside under 3 4ft t5 sun blaster lights. Any tips/advise would be great!! Thanks guys and gals, happy growing!! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Your T5s are insufficient. They have reached for the light during their early days, but now they are outside they appear to be reducing the internodal distance significantly. You are a long way from those girls being ready to flower. I don't think moving them indoors under the T5s is doing you any favors. If you can leave them under the Sun, they will be fine and if you need them to flower early, you can move them into the dark daily once they are ready to flower. Watch the patterns of the branches. Once they are alternating and not coming in pairs, the plant is ready to flower. Until that time, they WILL NOT flower.
I’m not looking to send into flower yet. These girls have about 4 more weeks of veg. And I realized that my t5 lights were doing moloch that’s why I started to put them out side during the day and when might fall came I’d bring them inside under the lights so they have some what of a light for the reminder of the time. Do you think that would harm the plants?
