Universe

Discussion in 'Philosophy' started by Pompatus, Apr 14, 2009.

  1. Is the universe organic? (ie alive)
    Or inorganic?

  2. the universe is comprised of organic and inorganic matter.

organic does not mean alive, it means living organisms/carbon containing organisms.

organic matter can either be things that alive or what once was.

so to answer your question, as far as we (and I) know, our universe contains all sorts of organic and inorganic material.

  3. its kind of like thinking of the difference between animals and vegetation. humans are living being who know they are alive along with a lot of animals. but if a tree has life, can it have feelings? can little bugs have feelings? for all we know the universe could be a form of a living being. hey it might even have a concsiousness.

  4. "omni-ganic"....so to speak

  5. i honestly think our universe is like an atom on the asscrack of some piumber on the next plane of existence.

but seriously, it seems plausible to me that the nature of our matter is somewhat irrelevant (well it is, but for the sake of conversation) because all we may be is another part of something bigger.

  6. that ass crack would be mother nature
