Unforseen problem...

  1. So, thanks the wonderful forums of GC, I have learned in leaps and bounds in the past couple months about how to grow the dankest efficiently and economically. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case when I started my project. So I vegged one of my plants too long and it's going to outgrow my ceiling I do believe. The plant is about 3 weeks into flowering and it's right around 4 1/2 to 5 feet tall. I guess the question I have is, can you do anything along the lines of break training when you're this far into flowering or will that stress the plant too much? I hope someone has a reasonable solution to my problem because if not, I am going to have to chop it in half and be satisfied with the bottom half buds. I mean I could possible take clones and reveg them, yes?

  2. you could bend it in half or even tie the top down to the side. It wont effect the plant at all and it will grow fine. Just take care doing it! good luck

  3. Don't chop the top of the plant. Tie her over. If the main stalk is very stiff (which it probably is) then tie it over at a bit of an angle, with the string very taut. After a couple of days the plant will adapt to the bend and you can tighten it a bit more, increasing the angle. You can continue this until the main stalk is over at a 45-60 degree angle, saving you some height.

  4. I find that direct confrontation is always best i.e. threaten it with gangsta rap music if it don't stop growing.

  5. No that shit will kill them, it kills me!! RAP SUCKS!!!!!

  6. I feel like "gangsta' rap", given the close tie between it and MJ, might actually encourage growth. Now I feel like if I really wanted to stop it from growing, country music might do the trick. But then again, that might kill the plant altogether? What a dilemma...

  7. you have 5' ceilings? lol.

  8. If you would have read the post, you would have noticed I said the girls are 3 weeks into flowering and they're already 5 feet tall. They still have about a foot to two feet to grow, my light hangs from the ceiling about a foot so the light's already close to 1 1/2 feet away.
