Those numbers would be very hard to fake. They come from hundreds of people compiling thousands of data points over weeks.
The numbers will be revised next month with the more accurate, higher number. If you follow these jobs and economic reports you would know that this happens almost every time.
Same reason they used to defend 911 hoax. 911 hoax was hard to fake, yet they still created it. To fake unemployment number is much easier. After election, they would adjust the number due to the "error".
