Yes, this! I was around during most of that same time period as well (96-00 for me). I live in Cincinnati, but did vending for Untranslatable out of Louisville (mix tapes, t-shirts, etc) and we'd go up to Chicago semi-regularly, out to Wisconsin for Further, Indy, Ft. Wayne, Cincy, Dayton, Cbus, Cleveland, Louisville and Lexington. Chicago had some dirty, nasty, disgusting venues but they were awesome. I've always been a big drum and bass guy so I loved getting to see dudes like 3D, Snuggles and Danny The Wildchild. Good times, for sure. Justin Long's a solid dude too and a good DJ.
