If you're going to be drawing a lot of words/letters try using "bars". Start with the basic letter as you would see it on a keyboard then let your characters take shape from there. Here's some examples courtesy of revid! from bombing science

I did this a minute ago on the borderline of being baked. I find that you are most creative when you arent waterlog stoned, and your brain can still remember and function, still with the bursts of creativity and perspective shifting.

I enjoyed mowing lawns when I used to work for a dairy farmer across from my house. Would mow and weedeat for 8 hours sometimes.
