\tUN anti-narcotics panel urges Uruguay to reconsider draft law on cannabis sale1 August 2013 - The independent United Nations body tasked with monitoring the production and consumption of narcotics worldwide today urged Uruguay to review a draft law that would permit the sale of cannabis for non-medical use.
If adopted, the law would be in contravention to the provisions of the international drug control treaties, in particular the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, to which Uruguay is a party.
According to the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), the law would also have serious consequences for the health and welfare of the population and for the prevention of cannabis abuse among the youth.
The INCB urged the Uruguayan authorities to ensure that the country remains fully compliant with international law which limits the use of narcotic drugs, including cannabis, exclusively to medical and scientific purposes.
Based in Vienna, the INCB is an independent and quasi-judicial monitoring body mandated to implement UN international drug control conventions.
"In line with its mandate, INCB has always aimed at maintaining a dialogue with the Government of Uruguay on this issue, including proposing a mission to the country at the highest-level," the Board said in a news release, calling on the Uruguayan authorities to carefully consider all possible repercussions before taking a decision.
It also expressed regret that the Government refused to receive an INCB mission before the draft law was submitted to Parliament for deliberation.

  2. Here comes the bully boys from the UN with trade threats and US drug war funds for bait,,all Uruguay has to do is give written notice of dropping from the STC and in 6 months they are out,,about the time the first full term legal crops are ripening.

  3. The UN needs to back off. Since when do they care about people? They let innocent people be murdered in Africa and don't do shit about it. I am sick of their crap and threats. What are they doing about alcohol? Alcohol will effect you mentally and can cause long term mental illness, along with killing you.

    LAMO MI PELOTAS UN!

  4. UN doesn't give a flying fuck about people...it cares about money moving into a few peoples pockets and ruling governments being CONTROLLED by the US (US/UN same fucking thing)

why doesnt the UN worry about Iran hanging people simply for being gay? What about the terrorists blowing sh*t up in Africa and the middle east with weapons the US gave them? What about the human trafficking? What about all the drugs the CIA keeps shipping in everyday?

the law would also have "serious consequences for the health and welfare of the population"........... You mean like ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES which both KILL MILLIONS of people and are perfectly LEGAL????

  6. The thing is the UN wants all of the bad stuff to happen. It gives them a reason to step in and either take care of things or send a strongly worded letter. They let the nasty stuff happen in order to make an excuse for their existence.

  7. Fuck the U.N., it's just as backwards and corrupt as the U.S. government. You go Uruguay, give those fuckers the bird.

  8. Nothing but bullies, corrupt bullies

  9. Money is the root of all evil

  10. I'm so high and even I see the stupidity in what they're doing.

I'm quite certain the S. American countries are just ramping up production to be part of the big pharma canna wave that will be coming.
The U.N. can be its own false flag with all this stuff too, don't forget. "Oh, we really don't want S. American countries growing this stuff. Really, we really, really don't."

    Uh-huh.

Don't think they are going to pluck this stuff out of the fields and send raw plant matertial direct to market.
This stuff can be grown and made into pharma products in preparation for the time they are given the go-ahead to sell and market them.

  12. If it wasn't for all the people being killed in Mexico and around the world and the ruined lives just from being arrested  for marijuana we could just quit fighting them until they bankrupt the country by building prisons and buying off legalizer nations with drug war funding and equipment.
It still isn't clear which event will happen first,,the end of prohibition or the shutdown of our government because nobody will take their IOU's anymore and one thing we have already proven beyond a shadow of doubt,,if they will build the prisons,,we will come.

  13. Ain't that the truth! They want their $1.4 BILLION dollar stadium here for the NFL. I think they have secured about $15 million so far. Groundbreaking is supposed to be October. The IOU bonds to be sold are based on such over-inflated estimates for GAMBLING revenues (nothing like basing this stuff on vice) that they will never be repaid. What is shit like this going to do to municipal bond ratings in very short order? It's a fucking ponzi! Detroit going belly up. Interesting times, indeed. It does feel as though the "race" is on, doesn't it?

My money is on prohibition surviving the financial meltdown, as they can still abuse people when all their money has been clawed back.
