I highly recommend anyone who digs jam bands/prog rock to check out Umphrey's Mcgee. They are definitely one of the most musically talented bands ever.
UM went to college together and all majored in music. They know eachother, and the way eachother plays like brothers. Ive been to a lot of concerts, but the 3 UM concerts ive been to have blown me away. My first was Indianapolis last June. My cousin and i didnt speak for an hour after the concert because we were so blown away. the first sentance spoken in the car on the way home was, "did i just witness god?". Tickets for concerts are usually around 20 bucks and their sets are usually a few hours long. 2nd favorite band, behind floyd obviously.
Yeah i cant wait to go see them on march 1, when they come to asheville..i've def. heard alot of good shit about them
