I’m not sure if any of you have heard of Phil Monk or the WTU (We The Undersigned), https://www.wtuhq.org/ but he’s making some serious progress in the fight against the unjustified prohibition of cannabis in the UK. WTU argues that there is no foundation evidence for cannabis’s scheduling within MODA (misuse of drugs act) therefore our human rights are being denied by prohibiting its use, possession or cultivation. Via a pro bono solicitor and a paid for barrister, WTU have formatted a letter to the Home Secretary spelling out the inconsistencies of MODA and criminalising of cannabis use. I’ll share the letter here once it’s been sent (possibly this week) as it’s in draft form right now. Phil Monk, founder of WTU was interviewed yesterday on the Dopefiend podcast. It’s a really good listen as he talks about his own personal difficulties that led him onto this campaign path, and he also talks about the challenge itself. It’s a good listen and explains a lot. If you are interested in ending the unjust prohibition of cannabis then this is for you. Please feel free to join the closed WTU group on FB or check out the website above.
