UK prime minister Theresa May "'reluctantly'" announces a general election set for June giving British citizens the right to vote in a new Governement and set their country on another different course. Which end of shitty Conservative-Labour stick will the UK people pick? Is Theresa May really reluctant? She must be quite sure she has this election in the bag otherwise this would a huge miscalculation on her part. Assuming the Conservative party win Theresa May will have quashed her opposition and will find herself in a much stronger position negotiating Brexit with the EU. Theresa May; shrewd operator or silly cow? Time will tell Theresa May calls for general election to secure Brexit mandate
The Tories will come back with a bigger majority. There is no doubt about that. Labour are in disarray with infighting over Corbyn's leadership. May replaced Cameron after the Brexit vote so she hasn't a mandate as such to lead the country at the moment and this will give her same. From what can be gathered from leaks emerging May and the Tories are in a tizzy over the Brexit negotiations and the UK could emerge with what would be considered a bad deal. She's shoring up support now.
I think the UK will get a bad deal exiting the EU..and thats to be expected. The UK has its eggs in the Trump basket but the coming French election may hold some fruit.
