Finally some good news for the UK, looks like we might be seeing some progress instead of going backwards for once!

  2. Nice! Hope you keep moving in that direction  now if only Canada's laws would start moving forward again..then the U.S, UK and Canada would all be talking legalization or decriminalization, that would be great..

  3. I'm actually never surprised when people speak positively about marijuana. I'm surprised when they don't.

It's just such an insane fabrication to say it's dangerous.

  4. "Dope safer than fags"
Did that make anyone else lol?

  5. Prof Nutt wasn't so nutty was he, eh?

  6. lets hope for a bit of common sense in parliament ay? lol who am i kiddin! this guys already tryin ta backtrack! wen questioned bout him sayin this he claimed "i cant remember saying this."

the uk needs our own arnie !!!

  7. For some reason I can't stop thinking parliament funkadelic...

  8. Did anyone else get bummed out when they read that Professor Nutt (awesome name) was "sacked by Home Secretary Alan Johnson after he claimed pot was less harmful than booze and cigarettes." So now stating something than can be proven by official related deaths per year statistics is grounds to get you canned?

  9. Mate it was ridiculous he was making claims based on scientific fact - basically doing his job, and he got sacked for it. That's how fucked up this country is!!

He said that ecstasy is safer than alcohol and that weed is safer than tobacco - two claims that are accurate, coming from a reliable scientific source, and our home secretary fires the guy it's fucking stupid!!

  10. censorship at it's finest.

Unfortunately the up-coming conservative government in the UK isn't going to help things when it comes to moving foward with weed laws, or anything else for that matter.

  12. As globe said, nothing is going to change after the election.

Cameron was supportive of the government's sacking of Nutt and the reclassification from class C to B...

Still can't really see any progress that will be made in the forthcoming parliament. We shall see...

  13. yeh cameron noticed that that might get him another few hundred votes from the lefties, so jumped on the bandwagon! whoevers in power, i doubt its gonna change, even the GREEN party, who i think should rename theirselves, itsa very misleadin to us stoners!;)

  14. dude the green party want to decriminalise have you read their policies?

anyway the new drug tsar has a book out called 'the science of marijuana' - this guy knows what he is talking about, it's just too bad he is surrounded by ignorant twats.

  15. yeah thats wat i meant mate! ;) ill ave to ave a look for that book!

  16. Yes, he did backtrack and say that he does not remember saying this. In the same breath though he is quoted as saying that in the face of "new evidence" he is allowed to change his mind.

This is just another gov paid stooge.

Proff Nutt did set up his own independent think tank with the bills being paid by some hedge fund manager who pledged 450.000 pounds to get the truth out.
