  5. Loving these colder temps, keeping my flower room bang on 24-25c. Warmer through till xmas though, not good as I need to stick another 600 in my veg tent soon so could do to have minus temps.....maybe an led come in handy sooner rather than later.

  6. Greetings all, so i’ve purchased a hps to add in, also a digital ballast. The ballast came with a 600w. Can i dim the 600w bulb down to 400w and 250w? As instructions recommend using the according bulbs and not to ‘ dim a 600w down to 400w’? Does that mean i should get another 2 bulbs, a 250w and a 400w and keep changing? That would be a pain!

  7. I've never had an issue turning a 600 down to 250. I do hear the bulbs making a ringing noise for a short time after turning them down, sometimes.

  8. Hmm, ok cheers.. It seems most advise against doing it. Apparently it messes with the spectrum also. Pretty useless design in my opinion if so, especially for anyone on a 24/0, having to turn off and wait for bulb to cool before swapping, if needing to either dim or step up at certain stages

  9. Like I say I've never had any issues - I think people get carried away and repeat things other people have said.

  10. This might be off topic but did anyone see the vote on Norman Lamb’s Bill For Legalisation And Regulation Of Cannabis in parliament yesterday? It was voted down by 66 votes to 52 unfortunately. It would have let a proper debate be had in parliament about adult use of cannabis.
Brexit is surely taking up most of their time at the moment. Labour apparently whipped its members to abstain but there weren’t many abstains anyway as I guess they just weren’t there? My MP wasn’t on any list of "yes", "no" or "abstain" so I have written to her with a slightly fluffed up letter. I'm trying to sound "human" and reasonable in a prohibitionist's eyes. I’ll paste it here in case anyone needs some motivation to write to theirs. If you really want change, and it's within our grasp, PLEASE consider writing to your local MP. Don't incriminate yourself too much but dont be too afraid either!
Copy, edit paste away if you want but please get motivated. Medical is our gateway to full decriminalisation:

    Dear XXXX,
I looked on with hope at yesterday’s vote on Norman Lamb’s Bill For Legalisation And Regulation Of Cannabis. I was hoping in these enlightened times that scientific and medical fact would overcome decades of “reefer madness” politics but I was sadly disappointed. The vote was 66 to 52 against. It was an opportunity missed to debate this very important and life-changing subject.
I didn’t see your name on the yes, no, or abstain lists and I saw that Labour MP’s were inexplicably whipped to abstain! I don’t necessarily understand the process but as a member of the Labour Party I felt bitterly disappointed. I do appreciate that with the absolute sh1tstorm of Brexit activity that cannabis was probably completely off your radar but it has been legitimised as a very useful medical plant and the British people (and NHS) are being robbed by its lack of legal availability.
I have several first hand experiences of it usefulness and it seems criminal to me that while the UK is the worlds biggest exporter of medical cannabis (Skunk and CBD both grown in the uk by British Sugar for GW Pharmaceuticals), is citizens cannot access it. This vote was to allow a debate on the subject and I believe would have opened a lot of eyes to its medical benefits.
In my experience I have seen a good few wonderful outcomes. My closest female friend has kicked her antidepressants (Fluvoxamine) by replacing it with CBD oil and vaping CBD and THC rich flowers of an evening. She feels like she has had a great weight lifted from her and that her mind and body feel like they are healing, not being masked by those emotion numbing pharmaceuticals. Her life is changed by this plant!

I have an acquaintance who had a brain tumour. He had lots of radiotherapy and chemo and it wasn’t looking good for him. He began vaping street weed (who knows what the ratios of cannabinoids where or if there were contaminants), in conjunction with his chemo. It helped with his nausea and appetite but the amazing bit was that in his last scan, despite every medical expert telling him the opposite, his tumour has disappeared! He’s been on TV lately telling his story. He’s gone from never touching cannabis before cancer to becoming a total advocate! He contacted me on social media recently, as he knows I’m a cannabis advocate and asked me if I could supply him cannabis. I cannot. It’s illegal. I would risk jail for supplying him with the plant he believes saved his life. I am not a dealer nor do I want to be. He is beyond frustrated with the government’s hypocritical stance on this medicine. He’s very angry that others cannot benefit as he has because the use of this plant is illegal.

Another friend also has a brain tumour. He’s too afraid to try cannabis because of the legal issue with its use. He sent me this message a few weeks ago:
“Hi Mitch, something that may interest you. Since I’ve had a brain tumour and brain surgery etc I’ve suffered with seizures, getting up to one a week/ fortnight. I’ve also over the last 6 weeks had radiotherapy which can aggravate and increase seizures. I’ve been on CBD oil for 6 weeks and haven’t had one seizure. I’ve told my specialists, nurses, and GPS but no one will acknowledge it...”
It’s great that he’s been able to buy this “food supplement” from a health food outlet but research shows is that he would be even better off with full spectrum (not just CBD) cannabis as it would multiply the CBD’s efficacy. It’s also a great shame that the NHS cannot supply this cheap and effective medicine!

My own mother suffers from Fibromyalgia. She couldn’t walk without crutches and was suffering from depression. She couldn’t drive nor walk her dog. I have been sending her CBD oil and even beyond my wildest dreams, she has her life back! She has a new car, crutches and depression gone, even the dog is happy. I’m serious, one drop of this stuff a day has changed her life. She still feels the fibro but the effects of the oil on her endocannabinoid system have allowed her body to deal with the discomfort. Cannabis (like anandamide) regulates homeostasis in vertebrates, allowing our bodies, on a cellular level, to find balance and function efficiently. Recent studies have shown that, once again, full spectrum cannabis would work even better for her, but of course that’s illegal.

I have a friend who has a terrible back issue and is having traction therapy. She cannot escape the pain no matter what pills she used. She’s used strong synthetic opiates and her last prescription was for Gabapentin. This did not work, made her feel physically sick and caused her disturbing hallucinations. I also believe that unlike cannabis, it’s very addictive. I suggested trying cannabis which she then sourced. She smoked a joint of it whilst in the bath and had her first relief in weeks! Her muscles stopped spasming and the pain greatly diminished for a day and a half! She too had never used cannabis before. She tried CBD oil but I’d did nothing for her. She cannot believe her luck and is astonished at how much help this has given her.

Finally, to hammer home my conviction, I too use CBD oil. I was suffering from very mild depression for quite a few years and found mornings particularly difficult. I have been using oil for 3 years now and I can honestly say it’s been life-changing. I also use a dry herb vaporiser (like a tiny little oven) and use CBD flowers that contain a small amount of THC to relax and destress of an evening. I find I don’t use alcohol for this purpose any more. I believe vaping in this manner to be giving me a health benefit without the negatives of smoking. This week I had to go to the osteopaths twice with a back issue and to the dentist for a root canal. In both cases, I sourced illegal street weed (probably from some god-awful crime gang) and mixed it with my legal CBD flower. Muscles relaxed, the Osteo did wonders for my back (I’m fit for work again!) and the root canal gave me very little pain and inflammation. I broke the law but I also dealt with my medical issues without any side effects and without taking pharmaceuticals. Why can't I do this legally?
I could go on but I won’t. I think if you’ve got this far you deserve a medal! Please get on with admirably fighting Brexit, but next time you get the chance, please, please support medical cannabis and the UK citizens basic human right to access this medicinal plant.

    Kind regards,
    XXXX

  11. Wasting your time. Legalise it then they lose the monopoly.

  12. It’s clearly not a waste of time as we are gaining traction each day. Be part of it if you can. Help.

  13. I mean writing to your mp. MP's dont care what you think. They are placed where they are to sell to you what their handlers think.

  14. To a point yes BUT as my local MP told me (and she is good at social justice) every letter or email a constituent writes to her carries the weight of several hundred opinions. ALL we can do is write to them really.

  15. If anyone has been looking at these on Amazon and wondering if they are any good:

Well, my mate is about to harvest these goodies from under a pair of them. Safe to say they do the job!

He clearly knows what he's doing but the lights have not hindered. A good option for those on a budget!

  16. Trust me, no MP gives a shit what you think. You're just cattle to them.

The way to deal with the prohibition, is simple, and I quote the honorable Paul Heaton:

  17. You and I can carry on regardless but there are many who cant and, me included, don't wish to. It's up to you but doing nothing is not an option for me.

  18. Cant see tge link
