Unfortunately, before his death Von Daniken admitted that he exaggerated and lied in his stories. For instance, the 'large UFO landing pad' he claimed was in the Nazca lines was less than 30 feet across. He also mistranslated texts and (mainly s.american) glyphs to support his theories. MelT

gotta love the media playin with words. they know what happened to it. The problem is they haven't learned how to properly control it at those speeds. The flight lasted 9 minutes. At those speeds you don't crash, you explode apart into tiny little pieces, nevermind it was over the middle of the ocean.
Yeah I wonder what that aircraft does to water if, at those speeds, it has to forcefully cut it's way through the air... Or, what the water does to it.
