two pc fans one adapter?

    i have two computer fans im trying to install into one 12v adapter. one of the pc fans however has a third wire which im not sure what to do with. any help would be appreciated

    the one with three wires what colors are they?

    Third wire is fan speed monitor, remove it.

    Yes you only need red and black.... It doesnt matter which way you wire them either, if it doesnt work first time change them around. You can't blow anything up!?

    hey guys so is it perfectly safe to wire 2 180mm pc fans to one 12v dc adaptor as some of mine in 1 of my boxes have got their own adaptor but that would be better

    just make sure your adapter can handle the combined current of the fans

    Red and black with red and black. I sliced mine together with a USb port and got a 6V USB to wall charger thing has been runnin for 50 days straight no problems.
