Hey guys I'm so stoked about my first grow. Heres the quicky 3 seeds 3 germinated 3 have leaves Darwin chose 1 and it died. 30 VEG/Day 6 flower - Sex verified!!! 2 left are both females and seem HAAAAPPPPPYY! These gals are 12-15 in tall with a little LST one has 11 bud sites and the other has 13. Feel likes I should be a proud parenet! Just Felt like I should tell the GC comm.
Nice man. Leafs are huge! Looks like you may have a Nitrogen or Magnesium deficiency...What nutes are you using?
Thanks for the props! I'm using Canna A+B in Coco with perlite and lime. Have any words of wisdom you care to pass my way about this are very Welcome. DOT
I only use coco coir as a soil additive, so i'm no real good help there. You have any sugars in those nutes? I suggest blackstrap molasses.
I haven't been adding any thing other that the canna and water. I've been to walmart like 6 times this week and keep forgetting it. I will go get it tommorow. Thanks for the Tip. DOT
I got some Epson salts to help with the Potential Mag issue so hopefully that will fix it. I asked my wife to get some Black strap but didn't tell her what it was for. We are on a diet so when she looked at it at the store she saw it had way to many carbs so she didn't get it because it wasn't diet friendly. I laughed my ass off when she told me that. I'm glad you said somthing about the CFL's When I went to flower I added 2 150W eq 2700k CFL's and replaced 2 100W eq with 2700k as well. I could probably use a little more light but the heat is stable right now and I don't want to upset the balance being my first grow and all. I do have 4 4ft T12's in the back of the cabinet but they are off because the ventilation can't handle the heat. One of those things that will be changed next grow. HAHAHA I laughed my ass off at the diet comment!!! "But honey, I need those carbs!!!" Oh and if you have the chance to upgrade to T-5's instead of T-12's you will not be disappointed. They have more lumens and i'm pretty sure they run cooler. I know that when I switched from 6 CFL's to 6 T-5's the temps dropped like 5-8 degrees.
they are riding the edge of nute burn, don't use Canna at full strenth, I bet if you cut back to 50% of the recomendation they green up in one week. also add kelp meal and it helps greatly with heat stress and other issues I NEVER grow without it.
Yeah those were bought during a novice splurge I've been eyeing all kinds of lighting options for run 2. Thanks though Actully I have been running the Canna at about 30% so I will cut it back a little for a few days. I'll check in to the kelp. Thanks both for your advise.
