Two 600w bloomspects in a 2x3x5 cabinet? How would you set up and how many plants would you work with? Actual watts are about 135 each. Thanks for your input!
On average, I would say two...but you could fill that space with one plant,if you wanted to, Or, you could fill it with four small plants,as well...It's your choice, unless you grow Autos...Then you need to stick with no more than two.
I've never grown autos before. Should order some. I ordered 10 purple afghani seeds from msnl but they haven't arrived yet. Once they do make it through I'll for sure get some auto strains. Thanks!
Unfortunetly those are not 600watt lights. Tgeyre much smaller at 129. All the 600 means is the diodes are able to handle 600 watts but they're ran at 129 watts so they last longer. It's kind of shady advertising
If I were you I’d get a quantum board they are way more efficient and penetrate canopy more evenly Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I grow 4 plants in that space with two qb boards 135w each. But I grow in one gallon bags and try to keep plants 1x1. For a normal 3 gallon plant which will get 2x2, do the math. I grow autos and mainline them to 8 tops, and in the one gallon bag filled with perlite they stay contained for the most part. Height with bags is 30 inches approx if all goes well.
Theres nothing wrong with photos in small places. I actually like them better in small places as you're able to decide how large or small you grow them. With an auto you dont have as much control in size.
They grow taller if you don't top them. How tall do you want your plant? They can grow that tall. I thought I would gain some height with the narrow qb boards, but I run them a mile high, as high as they go in my closet which is about 6.5 ft high. I keep the plants on coffee cans when they are young and short. Tall plants use light inefficiently. Topping or tying are common ways to keep plants horizontal vs vertical. If you are growing photos in a closet, the closet must be lightproof for 12 hours a day. The autos prefer 24/0, but can get less with no disruption of flowering cycle. The light leaks provide good ventilation, so leaky closets and autos are a good match.
Already tested for light leaks. Had my cellphone inside recording video while I ran a flash light around all the cracks of the closet. Pitch black through the while video. I have a couple photos of unknown strain at one month veg. Maybe I'll try and run a scrog and test the limits For the first run. Thanks
