I think my turtle hates me. He just has a fuck you attitude like 'I'm stuck in this tank, Im miserable, I hate you and I'm not going to perform for you'. He always looks pissed. I think I might set him free

don't set him free, it could fuck with the ecology of your area. red eared sliders are wreaking havoc in oregon for this reason
Don't set it free. It messes up the ecology and the turtle could be used to captivity so it won't last in the wild. If you don't want it try to sell it or give it away.
DEF dont set him free. when animals are set loose in environments they're not naturally found in, there may not be enough predators to keep their numbers down. They reproduce really quickly and eat pretty much all of the plants and fish and things. Thats why everything needs some kind of predator... to knock them in line and help keep the balance :]
He's just acting like a turtle..did you expect it to play fetch or something? If you don't want him then put an ad out. Maybe someone who already knows what to expect from a pet turtle will want him. Why do people buy a pet that can easily live 30+ years when they don't even know how it's supposed to act? This is why I hate pet stores selling reptiles..cause kids buy something like a burmese python then just let it go when it stops being fun or grows too big. If you want an animal to perform for you..try a dog. They're a little more well known for doing tricks then turtles are..
I mean theres all of that. But there's also a chance that he'll just die because there isn't the right temperatures and he's used to living in captivity. but good advice.
who ever said I wanted him to perform for me? One of the reasons I hate dogs is because they are too eager to please. My turtle is cool as shit, but I'd be pissed off too if I was stuck in a tank my whole life. Thats why I was thinking of setting him free

dont set your turtle free if it has sex with a squirrel and the squirrel spawns it'll fuck your ecology.
You did.. My point is..the turtle does what turtles do. Sit there.. If you wanted it to do anything else then you shouldn't of gotten a turtle.
