Turning yellow :|

  1. What does it mean if the plants stalk and surrounding branches are turning yellow.

  2. yellowing of leaves are usually the signs of nutrient deficiency, or light bleaching. yellow leaves can also be caused by insect damage, fungi infection, or other pathogens.

yellowing stalks (main branches) should be dealt with more seriously, as those are signs of necrosis.

    What exactly is necrosis?

  4. Necrosis is death; dead plant parts. It usually refers to brown, often dry & crispy parts of the plants where cells have died. It's frequently preceded by yellowing, as OSU said, but yellow parts aren't yet necrotic.

The location of the yellowing is important for diagnosing. Yellowing new growth, for example, is often from low pH. Check the substrate's pH.

  5. Its at the bottem of the stem where the first branches branch off. Should i harvest those 2 branches? or leave them until i harvest which is, 10-31.

  6. Just leave them for now. Removing damaged plant parts before fixing the underlying problem will only cause the yellowing to move to the next set of leaves/branches.

Yellowing at the bottom of the plant is often Nitrogen deficiency. It can also happen at the beginning of root binding. When a plant is becoming root bound, it'll droop after any full waterings.
