Turning fat into muscle?

  1. Ok so i'm 6'0 180, and I have a bit of a gut but not alot of muscle. If I just lost weight then I would just go back to being skinny. What's the best way to turn that fat into muscle?

  2. Its not really a process of turning "fat into muscle", I don't mean to preach to the choir, but body fat is really just stored energy.

So you already have an advantage over the skinny person, because you've got "energy to burn" literally.

What I do when I want to lean up some, do light cardio (ex: 10-15 minute warmup/cooldown, where you get your heartrate around 140) and then follow a solid resistance training program.

Thats only part though, training is about 30% of it, diet is 70%, if you're food choices are solid, you can continue to gain weight, and lean up, its really a beautiful thing :)
