My friend read something about putting dry ice in his computer to over clock it or something. Then instead he put regular ice into a ziplock bag and put it into his computer. The bag ended up having a hole in it and it started leaking and fucked up his computer

If it wasn't they would skip over bits of data. But smoke will mess up your computer big time, IF not properly cleaned often. I just worked a computer where the owner was a smoker and the insides were the nastiest thing I have ever seen. I don't think it was ever cleaned
