I've never had a formal job before. I'm 19 I worked with my grandpa in construction the last 3 years so I've never actually gone through the hiring process. I moved away from home for college in August though and I think its time to find a new job. I put in several applications yesterday. I know its common practice to call and I was wondering what I should say when I call today. Do I ask how the hiring process is going, do I come straight out and ask if I can have an interview, or something else? Also if anyone has any interview tips that would be appreciated as well. Thanks for your help in advance.
Ask em if they have had a chance to look over your resume? I never really called they always called me back but idk lol I'm just lucky I guess
Yep, be assertive, and confident. Tell them your name to make sure they have it memorized and ask for a interview, I did that and it worked out
