Trying out LST on new plant. Did I do it right? Anything else I need to do? Thank you. Updated: I am trying to copy what he is doing. (1) Cannabis Low Stress Training LST - YouTube
merry xmas. you should top the plant and then train it. little bit of instructions here about topping/scrogging How To SCROG bending the main stalk like that will kinda impede nutrient flow to and from the roots. I've pinned the main down, but not like that. Just using a stake. lemme find a picture. you can see I just bend the main down and stake the tip. here's a gif from start to finish. It isn't in soil, but it shows the plant was topped, lollipoped, and then trained/tied down. i then scrogged to space out the tops and let her flower.
Nice start. When she starts upwards bend her sideways to encircle the base of the pot. You have options...top like trojan suggested or keep training and let her spit out branching naturally without removing any bud site. No matter which way you decide you'll end up with a nice bushy girl.
just hope that that knuckle heals up i would have just topped her once that is all i ever do with good results keep an eye on her maybe rub some honey or scotch tape the bend
At each snip of a branch or leaf, can leave the plant open to fungal/ mold infection, more so at this time of year, For many this greedy side line is but a 'right of passage' for many, want more buds grow more plants, better, go read Marihuana Botany by Robert Clarke
I wouldn't consider that lst..lol..thats more of a early mainline(which is high stress training)..but I agree with greenmonster..id start her circling the pot..u could train her out to look amazing..ive mainlined but never that early..otherwise that plant looks amazing..hopefully she heals up nice from here
My routine when working from seed is to top after fourth node and LST all lateral branching to promote as many potential bud sites as possible. As the veg cycles plays out I continue tying down everything that shows dominance to form an even base. I've seen many different forms of the same technique and thought you might enjoy seeing mine manifest; folder clips, bamboo skewers, and pipe cleaners are the tools of my trade. Rinse and repeat over the ensuing 18/6 cycle after container upgrades (from 1 gal to 5 gal) and swap the skewers for bamboo stakes; this becomes more difficult as flowering causes the stalks to become too firm to bend and increases the tendency to split from the main.
I think the knuckle will heal up and look thicker and broader after it heals. I want to try something different this time. No topping. Only LST and keep the plant small. 2 days later.
Merry Christmas bro. Actually I am trying to copy what he is doing. Want to see how it turns out without topping and only LST. (1) Cannabis Low Stress Training LST - YouTube
okay. that bend went wrong. I was trying to follow this. (1) Cannabis Low Stress Training LST - YouTube Attempted again on another plant. Maybe this was done right.
This time I am trying to do what he is doing without topping, just to see the outcome. Want to keep the plant small too. It might be hemi, from bag seed. (1) Cannabis Low Stress Training LST - YouTube
