Trying an outdoor SCROG

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by Paulnewtogrowing, Sep 2, 2022.

  1. Not quit as full as I wanted but I think it will be OK if weather holds out for another 6 weeks. Amsterdam Amnesia jn a 5X5 trellis - finished stretching last week. IMG_0894.JPG

  2. looks good but a plant that size would have yielded 3 times the amount left growing natural but i am sure you know that either way you will have a nice load if it matures in time

  3. Not sure if that true - maybe 20% relative to ripe flowers - I have another one growing standalone to compare but the standalone one did lose a main branch so I’ll haveto estimate the loss on that one IMG_0814.JPG

  4. I've had great success with outdoor scrog grows in small spaces. This was a 10'x10' open top greenhouse I had in my back yard about a decade ago. FB_IMG_1607138405337.jpg FB_IMG_1607138414872.jpg FB_IMG_1607138420974.jpg FB_IMG_1607138430346.jpg

  5. Yeah I tried a 2 layer Scrooge this year and I’m liking it. I did it mainly to bend the branches down and control the height but I noticed a lot of the smaller branches on the main branches were able to pop through and give me some pretty nice nugs. A lot of which probably would’ve been larf otherwise.
