So i have been growing this plant for about a month now i am about to put it in a 12/12 cycle in a week. But i would like to trim it up some before i do so. There are 4 bottom leaves that are just superrrrr long the stems on them go out past the pot is it ok if i cut them off? They are the biggest leaves yet on my plant.

  2. I've heard different things about trimming...some people say that the shade leaves deliver vital nutrients and should not be cut because it will stunt the growth. I've also heard that if you are gowing to trim, to do it right before flowering once and then leave it alone. My room mate trims his plant and it doesn't seem to have any major adverse effects...but I'm not sure if it helped at all. I trimmed my leaves right before flowering and its doing fine...

If it's not blocking light from a bud site, leave it be. I usually just take off fan leaves that block light, or are dead, diseased, or dying.

  4. thanks guys

  5. pruning a plant redirects growth hormones.auxins i think they r called.so i would hav thought that pruning the lower branches, leaves would help the plant.also helps with air flow up through the plant.harder for insects to climb up.avoid prunin for up to a month b4 flowering.since it diffuses floral hormones and flowering can b retarded.hope this makes sense andhelps

  6. Yeah i decided to leave it and just leave the plant totally natural with no trimming :)
