Trimming down, when and where??

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by crakn, Mar 10, 2016.

  1. I'm new to the indoor grow scene and just wanting some tips on when I should remove some leaves and which ones to remove. Thanks for any advice in advance. Sorry they're not the best photos.

  2. Pretty plant. Personally, I don't think that plant is a good candidate for pruning. It looks like it hasn't had much intense light since the nodes (where branches come out of the trunk) are far apart. I'd be careful since there is a good chance it'll really stretch when you switch it to flower...which you might consider doing soon.

  3. I started growing them indoor using just the light that came in through the windows but recently I purchased a grow light (CDM elite) and they seem to be doing a lot better now. Some of the nodes are a lot bigger then the one just the opposite side of it? I'll probably leave it for a couple more weeks before switching to flower.

  4. I definitely agree with A guy with a plant looking like that I would get some cfl(s) and pinpoint some direct light on some of those lower nodes. But really, I would go all crazy on her and top her 4 nodes from the top, and turn the top into a clone, but that's only if the plants seed was feminized and it came directly from a reliable breeder, if not, I would still top it and throw the top into the flower room to see if she is a female. When vegging it's really important to keep your plants vertically small, and you do that by bringing the light to them, so they don't go reaching for it!

  5. @Fataqui Id rather not take so much of it so i was thinking of maybe doing two or three nodes down. Also the plant has developed tiny little buds but they have stopped growing since now i am able to control the light easier. Do you think even with the buds it will still be a good clone i don't really know a lot about cloning.
