Tricombs, harvest and confusion

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Ri$hard, Dec 21, 2018.

  1. hey all,

I just want to ask a few questions as this is still my first run at growing.

When looking at tricombs, is it just the bulb at the end that changes colour? Or the whole shaft of the tricomb?

When checking tricombs, do you test the ones on the sugar leaves near bud?
Or do I cut off a red/white hair and chek those tricombs? Or do I try and get a small chunk of bud a bit deeper into the cola to chek those combs?

    I’m using a 60x and 120x pocket microscope. FYI

    Any thoughts would be appreciated;)

    Thanks

Yes its just the tips, no dont cut anything off, no not the leaf but the actual flower is best for checking, harvesting color is personal preference, also 60x magnification and up is perfect........good luck

    10-4.

I find it so hard to hold the magnifier glass on the plant. So I nip a chunk off the size of like 3 grains of rice. That’s the tip of my sugar leaf.

I got this decent pic, it’s a week old I guess

    Thanks man
